Clergy Has Always Stood by the Nation in Defense of Its Rights: Presidential Adviser

Iran's presidential adviser on clerical affairs has emphasized the historical role of the clergy in Iranian society, stating that the clergy takes pride in having always stood alongside the nation, defending the people's rights and religious ideals.

Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Ali Emad, the presidential adviser on clerical affairs, visited the Martyred Clergy Mawkib in Qom to discuss the historical and social role of the clergy in Iranian society.

Highlighting the standing of the Holy Prophet and the Imams (peace be upon them), he stressed the necessity of calling humanity toward rationality and wisdom, describing the clergy as the standard-bearers of knowledge, spirituality and devotion to the people.

"The clergy's principal honor lies in having always remained aligned with the nation, defending the people's rights and religious aspirations," Hojatoleslam Emad said.

Pointing to two forms of significant service in the religious sphere, he noted that the propagation of religious thought by clerics has been complemented by humanitarian services rooted in the teachings of the household of Lady Fatima (peace be upon her).

"Every liberation movement and every effort to preserve human dignity has its roots in the teachings of the Prophet's household," he added.

The presidential adviser stressed that the services provided at Mawkibs are not performed for public attention, but rather out of devotion to the Seal of the Prophets and his holy household.

Hojatoleslam Emad called for strengthening the awakening of reason, the pursuit of justice and steadfastness in defending the rights of Islam and Iran. He paid tribute to the martyrs of the Sacred Defense and the martyrs of Karbala, expressing appreciation to all those serving at the Martyred Clergy Mowkib.
